Max

Max has studied Piano for over 10 years, completing a Bachelor of Music Composition in 2020 in addition to an Advanced Diploma completed in 2015. Specialising in classical performance of 18th and 19th century works, Max also has extensive experience in ensemble and contemporary performance contexts.

With a passion for composition, Max has particular expertise in the history of western classical music, music theory and the interpretation of classical works, as well as a well rounded understanding of Jazz, Blues and popular music.

As a relative latecomer to piano education (he began studying aged 14) Max is uniquely positioned to have insight into the challenges and rewards of learning the piano, and is committed to providing a well-rounded and tailored program that can be adapted to suit the needs of any student. However Max considers the enjoyment and appreciation for music to be the most important facet of learning, and that philosophy drives his ambition to enrich the lives of his students.
